Silent Film Superstar of the 1920s:
The Felix cartoons blew away the other cartoons of the Twenties with their sophisticated humor and clever drawing. Like some other silent stars we can think of, Felix was doomed by sound. His brand of comedy was based on pantomine, and any use of dialogue seemed out of place. The last regular Felix cartoon was released in August of 1928, just three months before the debut of Mickey Mouse. Link to:Felix the Cat
